Marguerite Wyke, 1967

Marguerite Wyke studied painting at the Grand Central Art School in New York and at the Academic Ronson in Paris.

Her mosaics, fused glass and pottery, which she studied under Madame Etienne Martin in Paris, are in private collections In Canada, the United States, the West Indies and Denmark.

In 1962 she was chairman of the committee which organised the Independence Celebrations of Trinidad and Tobago and was awarded the O.B.E. She served on numerous government committees having to do with the visual arts and other cultural activities. Over the years she has travelled widely gaining much experience through art museums, galleries and other art collections.
