Everyone has something to express about their individuality or society.  Art is a channel through which persons can express their ideas, emotions, insights and concerns. In our day to day tasks, from all levels, women, children or men, we sometimes lose our voice of expression. It speaks of who we are, what we need and how we feel.

Art is a way to inform. It is a powerful way to express the emotions of people`s spirit, images of reality and the landscape. Art is educational, it enhances individual development, fosters understanding, peace and builds community.

Through creating my own works of art, I have become conscious of the potency of art-making as a way to express and communicate. My art represents my concerns and topics of interest such as culture, migration, relationships, spirituality and identity. My process of creating involves explorations, researching published articles and my own life experiences to support my ideas.

My prime medium is painting. At times, this is combined with drawing, writing, photography and digital design. The colors I use are often intended to represent the grounding, of earth and sky, gestures and emotions of the human figure and senses. I tend to work on a number of pieces, creating a body of work which I then communicate in various forms.

My formal training started with Graphic Design at George Brown College in 1974 and continued with Art & Art History at University of Toronto, Mississauga and Sheridan Institute in 1996. Professional development continues with such courses as book publishing, spiritual development and art educator basics. I am a member of OSEA (Ontario Society for Education through Art) Canada, Visual Art Mississauga, Mississauga, Ontario and Trinidad & Tobago Art Society, Trinidad. My learning is continues.
