Dickie Noel Mohess
Although the artist has been a businessman for most of his life, art has remained a constant pursuit. Over the years he used his creative flare for art to successfully market many businesses. He has privately sold many paintings both locally and abroad. He is a self-taught artist who developed his painting style by studying books, videos and taking workshops from various artists. He admires the style of Georgia O’Keeffe, Monet, Van Gogh and local artist like Cazabon, Karen Sylvester and Mosca. His work is done primarily in acrylic medium on canvas. He prefers acrylic paints because of its longevity, fast drying time and extreme versatility. His choice of subject includes scenic landscapes, still- life, abstract and paintings with a gospel theme. His aim is that his paintings reflect peace, life and love for God and his indescribable and awesome creation. In the world people experience much turmoil, pain and hardship, but within us lies the power of change. Dickie Noel Mohess was born on the 23rd December 1962, in the beautiful Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. He is a graduate of Presentation College, Trinidad and acquired his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing at Oral Robert’s University, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
