Camille King

Camille King has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in galleries in Trinidad and abroad, including Gallery 1.2.3.4., 101 Art Gallery, The Commonwealth Institute in London and the Trinidad & Tobago Consulate in Miami, FL.  In addition, one of her pieces is part of a permanent collection at the University of Miami, FL.  Since her first solo exhibition, 'Dreamscapes", she has received commissions for work, as her unique style is gaining attention. 

Camille is the recipient of a SPECAF Fellowship from the Organisation of American States and received a Senior Photography Award from International Fine Arts College.  In 2000, Camille was honoured with a Honorary Mention for Painting from the Trinidad Art Society. 

Camille has a Diploma in Arts Management awarded by the University of London, with a Distinction, received in 1999.  She also has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Florida International University in Miami, FL, and an Associate of Arts degree in Commercial Art from International Fine Arts College. 

Camille currently teaches two 6-week workshops, at CCFA, the Centre for Creative & Festival Arts, University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.  One of her classes is Artists Business & Copyright, which educates new artists on organizing their exhibitions, contracts, public relations and copyright information. The workshops are for the 2000/2001 term. 

She also works at CCA7, Caribbean Contemporary Arts, a Centre for the Contemporary Arts as the Exchange Co-ordinator, organizing the residencies and workshops scheduled for 2001.
