Born in Barbados in 1922, at the age of fifteen he gained an Honours Certificate in Line Drawing from the Royal Albert Drawing Society in London. He continued to paint professionally in 1968.
His paintings have been exhibited locally and at the Commonwealth Exhibitions in London and Scotland. King's Trinidad exhibitions include the National Art Gallery, Trinidad art Society "Alliance Francaise" and at "On Location Art Gallery". He also has paintings in private collections in the Caribbean as well as Peru, Chile, Canada, Australia, Europe, Norway, the United States of America, Japan and Korea.
Although known mainly for his miniature oil paintings, (in particular the "Magnificent Seven", the houses on the Savannah in Trinidad) he has also produced larger canvasses.
He enjoys combining his love of local historical and popular sites with his drawing skills, in the creation of little treasures that he hopes will bring on-going pleasure to their owners.
