Joan Kenny was born in the United Kingdom and came to Trinidad to teach in 1957.
After retiring from a teaching career, she started drawing lessons in 1996 and was very influenced by Betty Edward's book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain".
She favours acrylics and prefers to paint landscapes and seascapes. Together with three friends "Four Points of View" was formed and they exhibited in 2001 and 2003.
Joan also has exhibited with Women Who Paint and the Trinidad and Tobago Art Society.
