Keith Gibbs is a self-taught artist, aspiring to be proficient in the field of photo realistic art. His work is mainly influenced by the things he experiences everyday in his environment. His early paintings were five to six feet in length. In some of them the foreground consisted of three dimensional objects fitted into the flat background to create a complete scenery.
Most of his paintings are now about three feet in length. He also produces ten feet and five feet long murals showing landscape /seascape sceneries which are sold to Photo studios such as Chung Photo Studios to be used as backdrops in their businesses, and also to home owners who wish to have a beautiful scenery along the inside corridor of their homes or in their living rooms.
Keith Gibbs is a member of the Art Society of Trinidad and Tobago, and has participated in its annual November exhibitions for the past seven years. He is at present working on creating his own website to display and sell his art via the internet, and intends to open his own art gallery in central Trinidad in the future.
