Born in Glasgow, Scotland, but resided in Trinidad and Tobago. Dalziel studied at the Glasgow School of Art (Post Diploma) from which she received the grant of a travelling scholarship. She also studied in Paris.

Her wide travels have been marked by her representations in exhibitions-one-man and mixed-in Scotland, France, New Zealand, Fiji Is., United States, Spain and North Africa. Her works are to be found in collections locally and abroad. An excellent portrait artist, she was equally at home with landscapes.
