EN PLEIN AIR

The Art Society will once again participate in the International Plein Air Painters' 9th Worldwide Paint & 10th Anniversary.

We will be painting on:-

FRIDAY 9th SEPTEMBER  2pm-6pm at The Pines at the top of St. Ann's to capture the evening light

SATURDAY 10th SEPTEMBER 9am-1pm at Queens Park West in front the not-so-magnificent 7 to bring awareness to their demise.

SUNDAY 11th SEPTEMBER is our big day and would like to end todays activity with a exhibition/reception of the weekends plein air work. The ASTT building will NOT be available, but one recommendation is to spend the day painting at the Pointe a Pierre Wild Fowl Trust with the exhibition reception at Petrea House from 3pm-6pm. Alternatively, we can paint again in Port of Spain ending up with the exhibition/reception at DRINK Wine Bar.

PAINT OUT @ MARACAS BAY FISHING VILLAGE

Saturday 21st january 2012 - 9 am - 1 pm

It is perfect weather to restart our En Plein Air sessions.

Join us this Saturday at the peaceful and refreshing Maracas Bay. Just passed the Maracas Bay hotel along the road you can park and set up shop with your easel and/or mat and paint from a series of great scenes including people, fishing boats, the sea and the mountains.

A great morning to get away from it all and enjoy a few hours of painting.

Bring what you will need: Your art supplies, easel, sun block, hat etc. Keep in mind that wind might be a factor.

Hope to see you on our first paint out for 2012.
