GET OUT AND PAINT SOMETHING TODAY

Based on requests from the group of us who do paint out on location, we have determined that EVERY TUESDAY we will meet and paint somewhere  around town. Persons interested in painting on a Tuesday morning can call the day before to see where the location is and join us or visit  our page of Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=10632371183

Plein Airs in June/July/August

Upcoming Plein Air:

Painting (Plein-Air) in Paramin
Saturday 9th August (weather permitting)
9am-1pm

What an awesome location. On the top of the hill which, on one side, overlooks Shodo Island and the North Coast and on the other side, looks over the Maraval Valley to Port of Spain and a vista of the Northern Range.

This Plein-Air replaces the YARRA BRIDGE trip as we have been generously offered the use of the house inset as our base for the morning(mal d'estomac (bad belly) in bella vigi-patois for beautiful view) . Even if it rains, we will have the shelter of this house and can perhaps do a painting of rain. Remember, the earlier we get there and start, the most productive you'll be and this great location.

This is a "landscape" plain-air and artists should walk with their easel/drawing board, paints, water and brush well and canvas to paint on. You should also bring a light refreshment for yourself (or to share

Please indicate if you are able to attend by emailing pleinairart@gmail.com or call Peter at 685 6289

See you on Saturday

Peter

AUGUST   Sunday 10th   noon-5pm   YARRA RIVER (Bridge) (5 hours)

An afternoon of painting on and around the bridge over the Yarra River on the North Coast.  Lovely reflections in the river below.
This is a remote location so bring your little  cooler, easel, chair and materials keeping in mind thesensitivity of the environment.

* At the start of the 2008-2009 new school term in September, I  propose that we visit schools and paint there in lieu of our weekend plein air sessions to encourage students to work with artists and to allow them a link to the happenings of the ASTT in preparation for the November show.

*THIS ENTIRE SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE as sometimes venues may
have other commitments on the days listed.
