Sarah Chong Sing

SarahSarah Chong Sing was born on March 25th, 1980 in St.Clair, Trinidad.  At a young age she began painting and was encouraged to pursue Art & Design for CXC and
"A" Level examinations at St. Joseph’s Convent, Port of Spain.  She is currently pursuing a bachelor'’s degree in Fine Art at St. Louis University, Madrid.

Sarah’s work reflects her interest in the relationship between mood and colour.  Through her art, she develops her ideas, translating mood and emotion into shapes, colours and textures.  She considers these explorations as a way to delve deeper into herself, to get closer to her creative core.

Her influences range from the work of El Greco to Gauguin, as well Rothko and Miro.

Sarah most recently exhibited in August of 2003 at "Deluge – Recent Abstractions", a group exhibition, with four other female artists.
