Dear Members,

In order that it may serve you more effectively, the Art Society of Trinidad and Tobago has embarked on a strategic planning exercise. This is intended to chart the direction of the Art Society over the next 3-4 years. It will allow us, for the first time, to identify our priorities and goals as an organization and describe a vision that is truly representative of the widest membership of the society.

Our strategic plan, which would be readily available to the membership, should then be a blueprint that each of us can use to evaluate the initiatives of our organization, gauge its progress and make our own recommendations for its success. Our strategic plan must be a yardstick that we use continually, a lived document as opposed to something that we leave to gather dust on a shelf.

We therefore wish to involve each member in the process from the beginning and have attached a questionnaire which will be our most important tool for charting the direction of the Art Society. We kindly ask (please) that you fill out the questionnaire and return it by the date stipulated. If you wish to submit any additional statement on your vision for the art society, please feel free to do so.

This is just the first of several opportunities for you to make significant input into the formulation and implementation of our strategic plan. We will keep you updated throughout the process and would deeply appreciate any specialized skills, information and assistance that you can volunteer to make our strategic plan the gateway to an rewarding future for the Art Society of Trinidad and Tobago and its members.
